Welcome to www.chrismorganmusic.com!

Glad you stopped by. Well into the summer now and it's been an interesting year so far. Be sure to check my schedule for changes and updates.
I've added a few new venues this year. First is The Dubliner in Carrolwood which is in north Tampa. It's an outdoor venue with a nice bandshell and I'm excited to have the band with me on the Saturday nights of the weekends I book here. This is really the first, regular, local booking I have gotten for the band. Travel has always been such an issue and it still is but with Darin living locally and Trina coming up from time to time, it's just a matter of getting Jimmy over which he's always excited to do. If you haven't made it out to The Dubliner and you live over this way, it's really worth the effort. Nice folks and good food.
Also, starting August 5-7, I'll be at Delanie's in Columbia, SC. I'm very excited about this one as my folks are nearby and it will be nice to get back up that way. I lived in SC for over a decade before I came to Florida and began regular work in the pubs. So this will be nice to touch base with my past. I'm hoping to pick up some more regular dates in Columbia next year. I'll keep you posted.
I've been pleased with the turnout at Peggy O'Neill's in Palm Harbor. I've kept my regular Wednesday nights each week but have changed the time to 7-10pm. I must say that I've had some really nice night here. There have been some really fine folks that have been coming out each week to listen. It's been so great. It's also been fun for me as I've been really making an effort to keep reaching for songs that I haven't done in quite a while or ever, in some cases. Anyway, come hungry and sit up close so we can start making our own atmosphere.
Finally, my lovely wife, Beryl, will be participating once again in the Komen 3 Day for the Cure. This is a three day, 60 mile walk around Tampa Bay that raises great sums of money to help find a cure for breast cancer. You may remember that Beryl was diagnosed in July of 2008 and is recovering incredibly well from the surgeries and various other treatments. This was quite a time for us and, at our ages, something we never anticipated. It's our wish that this never affect anyone again but we know the reality. We also know that the only way this will change is with the concerted effort of scientist, universities and pharmaceutical companies. The 3 Day is a wonderful opportunity to invest your time, your effort and your money, or any of the three, to contribute. The record of this event is incredible regarding their contribution to fight this horrible illness. Please, please, please consider going to this link to see my wife's story and help support her in this year's event.
I'll be sure to post updates regarding booking and info as they come along. Have a great summer and fall and I hope to see you at some of the venues I'll be performing at. Be safe!
All the Best,
Chris
